Family Futures Resource Network provides excellent early childhood programs and services, both registered and online. These programs offer parents and caregivers opportunities and experiences to support their children in their social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development. These programs also provide a natural environment for families to build social connections and increase protective factors for children.
We were hopeful that government restrictions would have eased in time for the launch of our Spring session to allow in-person programs. However, with the latest updates, we have made the decision to continue with only virtual programs. The website has been updated to reflect this. Some programs will not be able to run virtually and will be removed. Our brochure will not accurately reflect these changes, so we encourage you to review our website for the most up-to-date information.
If you need any additional resources during this time, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 780-413-4521. In the meantime, we have already created some online programs, services and support options. These are on each program page, the At-Home Family Fun page, and our YouTube channel.
0–12 months | FFRN is thrilled to be able to offer our extremely popular Baby Sing & Sensory with an online and in-person option! The first year of life is the most significant time for your baby’s development. In this program, we explore a variety of different activities to stimulate your baby’s senses and promote early learning for your little one. Join us each week to sing, learn and explore sensory play while you spend quality time bonding with your baby in the comfort of your own home.
2–5 years | Is your child full of energy? Bring them to this exciting program where they will practice moving their bodies through fun games and activities with you, to develop their physical literacy.
0–6 years | Would you like extra one-on-one support for your child? Our Family Mentorship Program provides in-home parenting education and family support services to expectant parents and those with children from newborn to the age of six. Trained Family Mentors provide families with information and support that helps them improve their parenting skills to provide a safe nurturing environment for their children. Family Mentors encourage a parent-led experience while providing recommendations based on leading practices.
2–6 years | Take-Home Kit | Do you have a little Picasso, who loved to be creative and express themselves through art? Let’s take them to the next level. The ‘Let’s Get Artsy’ program will allow children to utilize a variety of art mediums to express their inner artist. Each week will include learning about art, exploring a new art medium, creating some individual art pieces.
3–6 years | Does your child like to make music and dance? If so please join us for this program where children will explore music, dance and even make their own musical instruments each week.
