Family Futures Resource Network provides excellent early childhood programs and services, both registered and drop in. These programs offer parents and caregivers opportunities and experiences to support their children in their social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development. These programs also provide a natural environment for families to build social connections and increase protective factors for children.
Your baby’s first year is the most significant for their early brain development. In this program we will explore a variety of different activities to engage your baby’s senses and promote early learning. Enjoy unique sensory play stations each week with different sounds, smells, textures and more. Caregivers will spend quality time singing to and bonding with their baby. This is also a great way to meet and socialize with other caregivers in your community.
Reading books and telling stories opens a world of wonderment and learning for your infant. It also supports their early development and strengthens your relationship with them as you spend time together. Take home a free book each week to enjoy as a family. This program is offered in partnership with the Centre for Family Literacy.
Is your child full of energy? Bring them to this exciting program where they will practice moving their bodies through activities to develop their physical literacy. Children and Caregivers, together, will enjoy movement songs, easy games, parachute time, and free play with balls and other items.
Children are eager to explore new things. Find new ways to play, using upcycled or unusual materials in these fun, themed drop-in sessions which address various aspects of children’s development. Open-ended station based play allows children to follow their interests and move at their own pace. Each session will also have a circle time with a science experiment and a story. Come explore with us!
Children love to express themselves through music and movement. This program offers children the opportunity to move freely, express themselves through play & song and support their overall development in fun and engaging ways. Join us for this hour long session full of songs, dancing, musical instruments, parachute time and other fun games and activities.
If you are looking for a place meet a friend for a play date or just want a change of scenery, come and enjoy some play time with your children in our indoor play area. This is unstructured time where you can follow your child’s interests and leave and arrive whenever you like. We will have a large selection of toys and activities for children to choose from. Please ensure snacks are nut-free and that your drinks are in a spill proof container.
Parents will learn songs, finger plays, and simple movement games with their infants and toddlers, as well as discover new ways to bond in a supportive peer environment. Co-facilitated with the Centre for Family Literacy.
Family Futures Resource Network provides programs and services that focus on children and youth; strengthen parent-child interactions; and support opportunities for parents to connect and learn from one another in a positive, welcoming environment.
