Ideally, children should be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. However, today’s family situations often cannot accommodate this idea. The Home Alone Program is designed to provide children with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time. It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations, and keep them safe and constructively occupied. This program has been developed by the Canada Safety Council and is recommended for children who are at least 10 years of age and up. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
Join our Child & Youth team for our evening Kids Klub for 8 – 12 year olds. Learn some new skills, show us your creative side, and have fun!! Themes to be confirmed at time of registration.
Kids With Confidence is Social Skills program aimed at developing general social skills of youth, focusing on topics such as; friendship building, self-esteem, team work, bullying and assertiveness. During each session youth work on developing these skills through a variety of engaging activities.
Get moving with the Child & Youth team with some heart pumping and healthy lifestyle activities for ages 10-14! Each day, we will explore fun and goofy ways to keep active and stay silly during COVID. Participants will have the opportunity to make new friends, learn more about their own interests and how to pursue them, and discover new ways of coping with difficult emotions. Each session will include activities that encourage physical, social and emotional wellness. Together, let’s create a life-long desire to have whole-body health!
